- Erol Alkan is a London-based electro DJ of Turkish descent He was resident DJ and founder of London nightclub Trash Trash was located at The End nightclub in Central London, and in its ten years (1997 - 2007) saw performances by Peaches, LCD Soundsystem, Klaxons, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Electric Six and many more up and coming bands Erol Alkan released a series of mash-ups using the alias Kurtis Rush in the early 2000s, including a mix of Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You out of My Head" and New Order's "Blue Monday", which was performed by Minogue at the Brit Awards Erol also uses the alias Mustapha 3000, and is half of the psycho-balearic act Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve, along with Richard Norris Erol Alkan has remixed tracks from artists including Mylo, Bloc Party, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and Digitalism, and his profile increased considerably during 2006, when remixes for Scissor Sisters, Justice and Franz Ferdinand helped him to earn the Mixmag 2006 "DJ of the Year" award Most recently he's taken a hand to producing He produced Mystery Jets' second album, Twenty One, Late of the Pier's debut record, Fantasy Black Channel, and The Long Blondes' second album "Couples" He has also produced B-Sides for The Long Blondes and KlaxonsIn 2007 Erol found his label, named Phantasy Sound

Como produtor musical, já trabalhou com as bandas Mystery Jets, The Long Blondies, Late Of The Pier e outros. Seu gênero de música principal hoje é o electro/rock, com tendências para a new rave e o discopunk, com sets bem equilibrados e técnicos. Sua façanha como DJ é bem conhecida, já que em 2006 foi eleito o melhor DJ do ano pela revista Mixmag. Já fez dezenas de remixes, de Mylo à Hot Chip.
