Ernst Valenta, born October 25, 1912 in Svébohod, Austro-Hungary, died March 31, 1944, original version of name "Arnost", Flt/Lt 82532RAF, PoW No 415, was murdered by Gestapo in late March 1944, following mass escape from the Stalag Luft III in Sagan (now Żagań in Poland). Reportedly, he was amongst early pairs of escapees from tunnel - March 24,1944.
