Ernst Schulze (22 March 1789 – 19 June 1817) was a German poet, born at Celle. He studied theology at University of Göttingen, but afterward devoted himself to philology. The death of Thomas Christian Tychsen's daughter Cäcilie Tychsen (1812), in whose memory his epic Cäcilia (1818) was written, clouded all of his later life. His writings are Romantic in style and mainly in allegorical form. The epic Die bezauberte Rose (1818), his last work, is a poem of classic beauty of style.
