- Endurance World Championship is the premier worldwide endurance motorcycle racing Championship. The championship season consists of a series of races held on permanent racing facilities. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for teams and one for manufacturers. The championship was founded in 1960 as the FIM Endurance Cup. Initially it was made up of four races, Thruxton, Montjuich, Warsage and the Bol d'Or. In 1976 the FIM Endurance Cup became the European Championship and in 1980 a World Championship. During the 1980s the Endurance World Championship calendar numbered up to ten events. The championship's popularity gradually declined and the calendar was gradually reduced to just the four races. in 1989 and 1990 the Championship went back to a World Cup status, as the number of events required by the FIM Sporting Code was not reached. The four races are referred as "the classics" and they are, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Liège, 8 Hours Of Suzuka, and the Bol d'Or (held on Paul Ricard until 1999, and Magny-Cours since then). Up until 2000 the championship was awarded to the individual rider with the most points, in 2001, the rule changed and the championship is awarded to teams.
- El Campeonato Mundial de Motociclismo de Resistencia es una competición de motociclismo de velocidad disputada con superbikes, cuyo calendario se compone de carreras de resistencia de entre 6 y 24 horas de duración. La categoría surgió en 1960 como el Campeonato de la FIM de Motociclismo de Resistencia. En 1976 se convirtió en el Campeonato Europeo de Motociclismo de Resistencia, y tomó el nombre actual en 1980. Las ediciones de 1989 y 1990 se llamaron Copa Mundial de Motociclismo de Resistencia, ya que el calendario era demasiado reducido. El título se le otorgaba originalmente a los pilotos. Desde la temporada 2001, el campeonato es de equipos. Las cuatro carreras clásicas del Mundial de Resistencia son las 8 horas de Suzuka, las 24 horas de Le Mans de Motociclismo, el Bol d'Or y las 24 horas de Lieja. Las tres últimas carreras abandonaron el Mundial para el año 2002 y formaron el Master de Resistencia, que se corrió desde 2002 hasta 2005. Las dos carreras francesas volvieron al Mundial para 2006, en tanto que las 24 horas de Lieja no se volvió a correr. Otras carreras recientes se celebraron en A1-Ring, Albacete, Assen, Brands Hatch, Brno, Imola, Losail, Nürburgring, Oschersleben, Silverstone, Vallelunga, Zhuhai y Zolder.
- FIM世界耐久選手権（エフアイエムせかいたいきゅうせんしゅけん、FIM World Endurance Championship）は、モーターサイクルによるモータースポーツ。FIM（国際モーターサイクリズム連盟）が主催するロードレース耐久レースの世界選手権大会。1980年より鈴鹿8時間耐久ロードレースもその一戦に含まれる。2007年シーズンからはQMMF（カタールモーター&モーターサイクリズム連盟）との共催で開催。 2005年に北川圭一が日本人として初めてのチャンピオンを獲得。翌2006年シーズンも北川が制し、連覇を果たした。
