Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Urdd Gobaith Cymru, or more commonly known as Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd is a Welsh youth festival of literature, music and performance. It is organised by Urdd Gobaith Cymru. It is Europe's largest Youth Festival, it is usually held on the week that begins with the May bank holiday. The location of the Eisteddfod alternates between North and South Wales. The Event is conducted completely through the medium of Welsh.

The Eisteddfod consists of many competitions including Singing, Recitals, Dancing and Instrument Recitals. The urdd Eisteddfod is primerally for contestants under 25 years old. Regional heats are held in advance around wales and, as with the National Eisteddfod. The Eisteddfod yr Urdd is usually hosted on large open field around Wales, with the Exception of the Cardiff Bay Eisteddfod in 2005 and 2009. The Eisteddfod Maes has many stalls and activities such as a sports section containing a swimming pool and climbing wall. Local and national shops, businesses and institutions have stalls in the eisteddfodau, most notably Welsh universities. The Cardiff Bay Eisteddfod (Eisteddfoed Bae Caerdydd ar Fro) is held in and around the Wales Millennium Centre. The Eisteddfod will return to Cardiff every four years.
