The egonet is the result of the links that it gives and receives certain address on the Internet, and EgoNet is dedicated to collecting information about them and present it in a way useful to the users. Egonet is written in Java. So that the computer where is going to be used must have installed JRE (runtime environment for Java, consisting of a Java Virtual Machine or JVM, a set of Java libraries and other components needed to run applications written in Java). EgoNet is open source software, licensed under GPL. and, therefore, its use is free of charge. Its creator is Professor Christopher McCarthy, of the University of Florida, USA.
