Edward William J. Savage (born 15 November 1989) is an English footballer and former actor who took over from Stuart Stevens to play the role of Steven Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Savage left EastEnders when his character was written out in 2002. Savage, nicknamed Eddie, was born in 1989 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. He plays football for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club youth team alongside his older brother Andrew, and attends John Hampden Grammar School. He also enjoys judo.
