Sir Edward Bacon, of Shrublands Hall in Suffolk, was an English Member of Parliament and a half-brother of Sir Francis Bacon. He was the third son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, by his first marriage. Like his two elder brothers he was a member of Gray's Inn, and became an MP, representing Great Yarmouth (1576-81), Tavistock (1584), Weymouth and Melcombe Regis (1586) and Suffolk (1593). He also seved as High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1601, and was knighted in 1603.
