Edward Aglionby (1520 – ca. 1587), an old English poet, was educated at Eton, and elected to King's College, Cambridge, 1536, where he distinguished himself, and became a fellow and M.A. He was afterwards a justice of the peace in Warwickshire, and wrote a genealogy of Queen Elizabeth, for which she gave him an annual pension of five pounds. A Latin poem of his was printed in Wilson's Epigrammata, 1552, 4to.
