- E Nomine („aus Namen“, Auszug aus lat. in nomine, „in Namen“) ist ein deutschsprachiges Musikprojekt, das 1999 von den Produzenten Christian „Chris Tentum“ Weller und Friedrich „Sir Fritz“ Graner gegründet wurde und durch den Lizenznehmer David Brunner zur Veröffentlichung gelangte. Ihre Musik ist eine ungewöhnliche Kombination aus Trance/Techno und einer Gesangsbegleitung, die an gregorianische und klassische Gregorian Vocals erinnert. E Nomine selbst bezeichnet diesen Musikstil als „Monumental Dance“. Die Texte haben, wie der Name des Projekts, nicht nur christlich-religiösen Hintergrund, sie handeln auch von mystischen Sakralen, von Geschichten und Sagen über Magie und den Kampf von Gut und Böse. Oft werden auch biblische Inhalte wie der Psalm 23, der Teufel („Gottes Beitrag und Teufels Werk“), das Ave Maria oder Prophezeiungen (Schwarze Sonne aus „Die Prophezeiung“) aufgegriffen. Synchronsprecher bekannter Schauspieler wie Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins, Robert Redford, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, Brad Pitt, Mel Gibson, Liv Tyler und viele mehr standen für die Titel von E Nomine vor dem Mikrofon. Visuell dargestellt werden die Titel in Musikvideos von Senad Giccic. Seit 2005 ist es still um E Nomine geworden. Friedrich „Fritz“ Graner verließ das Projekt. Zwischenzeitlich war für Ende 2007 eine neue Single Heilig angekündigt, die allerdings bis heute nicht offiziell veröffentlicht wurde. Da die Single jedoch kurzzeitig zum Download bereitstand, ist sie auf Plattformen wie "MyVideo" und "Youtube" im Umlauf. Dort gibt es auch ein weiteres Stück namens Excalibur zu finden, welches wie Heilig für ein neues Album geplant war, jedoch nur einmal auf einer Veranstaltung live gespielt wurde.
