Donald James "Don" Grimes AO (born 4 December 1937) is an Australian former politician. He was born in Albury, New South Wales and worked as a medical practitioner before entering parliament. Grimes was elected at the 1974 election as a Senator for Tasmania, representing the Australian Labor Party. He was appointed Minister for Social Security in the first Hawke Ministry in March 1983. In 1987, he became Minister for Community Services.
