  • Don Cannon is an American record producer and DJ. The platinum producer is based in the Atlanta Area and has produced a number of songs for prominent hip-hop artists such as Young Jeezy, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Asher Roth, The Cool Kids and Fabolous. His production is handled by Cookies and Milk, which also handles fellow platinum producers such as Lil Jon, DJ Toomp, and Shawty Redd. He is currently managed by Chaka Zulu of Ludacris and DTP fame. He has also worked alongside fellow Philadelphian DJ Drama on the popular mixtapes series Gangsta Grillz and the syndicated radio show Gangsta Grillz Radio and also produced over 5 songs on Drama's 2007 album debut, Gangsta Grillz: The Album. Such mixtapes have made him well known for shouting over music, affecting the listener's ability to enjoy the actual tracks. Beyond simply introducing the music or artist, the listener is forced to listen to Don Cannon shouting or playing samples of his own name (among other interruptions) well above the mean volume of the music, repeatedly. In 2008, Don Cannon, alongside with Stevie Williams, opened a skate shop named Ska8tique located in Atlanta's Little Five Points neighborhood. He is an alumnus of Clark Atlanta University.
