Dodan Barracks is a military barracks located in Lagos, Nigeria. It was formally the Nigerian army's main garrison in Lagos. It was the site of many a power struggle between various Military Regimes between 1966-1990. Dodan Barracks was the seat of Power of the various Military Governments in Nigeria. The Name "Dodan" originated from the site of a battle fought doing the Second World War by the 82nd West African Division in Burma.

Located in an piece of land, off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Dodan Barracks served as a Residence for Nigeria’s various military rulers from 1966 to the early nineties, when the military government of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, moved the seat of government to Aso Rock, Abuja. In 2004 the then civilian President Olusegun Obasanjo - as a gesture of a departure from past military dictatorship finally ordered Dodan Barracks and all other military barracks not in use across the country be handed over to the country's Police Force. However in year 2009, the new president of Nigeria- Umaru Yar'Adua choose Dodan Barracks’ Presidential Suite in Lagos as one of his vacation location’s. In 2007, a report by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Sciences,University of Lagos,recommended that part of the military barracks can be reduced in size and the land used for public housing where appropriate.
