Musical headliners were the German bands 2Raumwohnung and Tocotronic. The art director was the German artist Daniel Richter. This year the festival took three days. It went from Friday, the 15th August to Sunday, the 18th August. Headliners were the German und British bands The Ting Tings, Deichkind, Fettes Brot and Television Personalities. The German artist Daniel Richter had the patronage of the artistic projects. The German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt reported, that nearly 10,000 people visited the festival and that the programme and the infrastructure had improved. 2009 the festival took place in the same area like before. It went from friday, the 14th August to Sunday, the 18th August. Musical headliners were MGMT, Turbonegro and the German bands Kettcar, Element of Crime and The Whitest Boy Alive. Again there was a combination of music and works of visual artists. The public radio and television broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk and the German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt reported, that 15,000 people visited the festival on its second day, which occasionally causes some logistic problems.

" Im Jahr 2007 fand das Dockville erstmals als 2tägiges Musik- und Kunstfestival mit ca. 5.000 Besuchern statt. Musikalische Headliner waren das deutsche Popduo 2raumwohnung und die Band Tocotronic. Im Jahr 2009 fand das Festival auf dem gleichen Gelände wie in den Vorjahren vom 14. bis 16. August statt. Erneut gab es eine Kombination von Musik auf der einen und Werken Bildender Künstler auf der anderen Seite. Headliner in diesem Jahr waren MGMT, Turbonegro und die deutschen Bands Kettcar, Element of Crime und The Whitest Boy Alive. Das Hamburger Abendblatt und der Norddeutsche Rundfunk berichten von 15.000 Besuchern am zweiten Tag des diesjährigen Festivals, womit das Festival einen Besucherrekord erzielte, was gelegentlich zu logistischen Problemen führte.
