It is located near some mixed farming in the north while the west and south is covered with olive and citrus groves. Dimitra's nearest communes are Machos in the west, Neochori in the northwest, Regleika and Strousi in the north, Kardiakafti in the east and Vartholomio in the south. The village centre includes a plateia/square with a church. The main road to Kavassila for 200 m is covered with large trees with a height of around 5 m. The other small settlement include Reglaiika, commonly Regleika with a tiny population and a few houses. It is now connected by a gravel road to Strousi and Myrsini. The area to the northwest, between Dimitra and Neochori, is largely forested.
