Desiree Heslop (born 27 November 1961) is a British singer, who uses the stage name Princess. In the late 1970s she worked with the group Osibisa. Her first solo album Princess (1986) was composed and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. It spawned her best-selling single, "Say I'm Your Number One", which was a UK Top 10 hit in 1985, and sold over a million copies worldwide. The album also included three further Top 40 singles.

It was less successful than her debut. In 1989, she released the stand-alone single "Lover Don't Go", which failed to chart. From 1991 to 2003 she lived in U.S. , but in 2003 she returned to England, where she appeared in ITV's 2005 production Hit Me Baby One More Time, performing both her biggest hit and a contemporary cover.
