- The Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire — African Democratic Rally is a political party in Côte d'Ivoire. From independence in 1960 to 1990 it was the only legal party, and was led by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. In 1990 the first multi-party elections took place, but the party remained in power. When Houphouët-Boigny died in 1993 he was replaced by Henri Konan Bédié. The party lost power when Bédié was ousted in a December 1999 coup. The PDCI announced in early 2000 that it would hold a congress to choose new leadership, and Bédié denounced this as a "putsch"; the party decided to retain Bédié in the leadership, however. In August, Bédié and four other PDCI members registered as candidates in the October 2000 presidential election; shortly afterward, Emile Constant Bombet, who had served as Interior Minister under Bédié, defeated Bédié for the PDCI presidential nomination. Bombet and Bédié were both barred from running by the Constitutional Court in early October, and on October 10 Bédié called for a boycott of the election. In the parliamentary election held on 10 December 2000 and 14 January 2001, the party won 94 out of 225 seats. On 18 May 2005, the PDCI and the Rally of the Republicans (RDR), despite a history of hostility towards one another, signed an agreement to form a coalition, the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace, along with two smaller parties, the Union for Democracy and Peace in Côte d'Ivoire (UDPCI) and the Movement of the Forces of the Future (MFA), ahead of the presidential election then planned for October 2005. This election was delayed and is now planned to be held in 2009.
- Le Parti démocratique de Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI) ancien parti politique communiste français pour « l'émancipation du peuple noir » dans l'Union française de 1946 à 1958 puis dans la Communauté française, est depuis le 7 aout 1960 un parti politique de Côte d'Ivoire de droite et de centre-droit d'aspiration liberaliste. Le PDCI est membre du Rassemblement démocratique africain depuis sa création par Félix Houphouët-Boigny en 1946, succedant au SAA. Il est le parti unique depuis l'indépendance en 1960 jusqu'en 1990, dirigé par le président Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Il reste au pouvoir après les premières élections multipartistes, organisées en 1990. À sa mort, Félix Houphouët-Boigny, est remplacé par Henri Konan Bédié en 1993. Après une campagne électorale féroce et des débats juridiques, et à la suite du coup d'État militaire dirigé par le général Robert Guéï, il est évincé du pouvoir. Aux élections législatives de 2000, il est le premier parti politique du pays, avec 94 sièges sur 225 mais reste un parti d'opposition. Les organes de presse proches du PDCI-RDA sont: Le Nouveau Réveil, Le Rebond, Le Dialogue et la National Plus - après avoir été longtemps Le Démocrate.
- De Parti démocratique de la Côte d'Ivoire/ Rassemblement Démocratique Africain (PDCI/RDA, d.i. Democratische Partij van Ivoorkust/ Afrikaanse Democratische Groepering) was van 1960 tot 1988 de enige legale partij van Ivoorkust en van 1957 tot 1999 was de partij constant aan de macht. De PDCI werd na de Tweede Wereldoorlog opgericht door Ivooriaanse nationalisten die zelfbestuur eisten voor de toenmalige kolonie Ivoorkust dat deel uitmaakte van Frans West-Afrika. Op de PDCI gelijkende partijen werden door heel Frans West-Afrika opgericht en aangesloten bij de door de rijke planter Felix Houphouët-Boigny opgerichte Rassemblement Démocratique Africain. De RDA streefde naar een autonoom (later onafhankelijk) federaal West-Afrika. In 1958 verkreeg Ivoorkust autonomie met de secretaris-generaal van de PDCI, Auguste Denise als premier. In 1960 werd Ivoorkust onafhankelijk en werd PDCI/RDA voorzitter Felix Houphouët-Boigny tot president van Ivoorkust benoemd. Na Ivoorkust verkregen meerdere koloniën van Frans West-Afrika onafhankelijkheid. De West-Afrikaanse federatie bleef echter een dode letter. Na het overlijden van Houphouët-Boigny in 1993 werd Henri Conan Bédié, eveneens lid van de PDCI/RDA, president van Ivoorkust. Hij kwam bij een staatsgreep in december 1999 ten val en week uit naar het buitenland. Sinds 1999 is de PDCI niet meer aan de macht.
- Parti Démocratique de la Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI) jest to partia polityczna działająca na terenie Wybrzeżu Kości Słoniowej. W latach 1960-1990 PDCI była jedną legalną partią która mogła funkcjonować w państwie. Członkiem partii był wieloletni prezydent kraju Félix Houphouët-Boigny. W 1990 roku odbyły się pierwsze wielopartyjne wybory parlamentarne jednakże PDCI zwyciężyło w nich i pozostało przy władzy. Po smierci Houphouëta-Boigny w 1993 roku jego miejsce zajął Aimé Henri Konan Bédié który pełni funkcję prezydenta aż do 1999 roku kiedy stracił władzy w wyniku przeprowadzonego zamach stanu jak został przeprowadzony przeciwko niemu. W ostatnich wyborach parlamentarnych które odbyły się na przełomie 2000 oraz 2001 roku PDCI zdobyła 94 z 225 miejsc w parlamencie. W 2001 roku PDCI uzgodniła z partią Rassemblement des Républicains utworzenie koalicji parlamentarnej oraz wystawienie w wyborach prezydenckich wspólnego kandydata.
