Decomposed Subsonic is the alter-ego of musician Hartmut Wessling. He performs minimal house that uses static, and found noises to create a variety of different sounds. While some tracks are very ambient soundscapes with little to no percussion, a number of them are very dance-floor oriented, with vocals, acid basslines and hard, innovative rhythms.

- Decomposed Subsonic is the alter-ego of musician Hartmut Wessling. He performs minimal house that uses static, and found noises to create a variety of different sounds. While some tracks are very ambient soundscapes with little to no percussion, a number of them are very dance-floor oriented, with vocals, acid basslines and hard, innovative rhythms. The first album, Blaue Löwen (German for "blue lions", released in 2000), represents a more ambient, sampled sound, while the second LP, Gradients (2002), is more accessible, with more vocals, more hooks and less experimentation.
