The best known part of the border park lies in Belgium, in the north of the province of Antwerp. The Dutch part lies in the municipality Woensdrecht and stretches from the border to the villages Huijbergen and Putte.
  • Grenspark De Zoom-Kalmthoutse Heide is een grensoverschrijdend natuurgebied in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Brabant en de Belgische provincie Antwerpen, op het grondgebied van de gemeenten Woensdrecht, Kalmthout en Essen. In Nederland behoort het tot een van de twintig nationale parken. Het is in 2001 ingesteld en is ongeveer 37,5 km² groot. Het grenspark is een afwisselend gebied met bos, heide, stuifduinen en een groot aantal vennen. Het zwaartepunt ligt in Vlaanderen met het drukbezochte Staatsreservaat de Kalmthoutse Heide. Het Nederlandse deel bij Huijbergen is dan ook veel rustiger. In het gebied liggen ook enkele landbouwenclaves met weilanden. De verscheidenheid in planten en dieren is groot. Bijzonder is het grote aantal insecten dat in het gebied voorkomt. Het bezoekerscentrum De Vroente, tevens natuureducatiecentrum, bevindt zich in Kalmthout. Via tal van activiteiten wil het centrum zoveel mogelijk mensen laten genieten van de natuur. De Zoom-Kalmthoutse Heide is in eigendom van de Vlaamse gemeenschap, Natuurmonumenten, Staatsbosbeheer, de omliggende gemeenten en een groot aantal particuliere eigenaren.
