As a result of this popularity, the dark future seen in this story was revisited later on several occasions. The first issue of this storyline was voted 25th greatest Marvel Comic of all time by the fans in 2001.

A történetben a kamasz X-Man, Kitty Pryde jövőbeli felnőtt énje visszautazik a múltba, hogy megváltoztassa saját jelenét. 2001-ben a Marvel Comics által rendezett szavazáson, melyre több mint 50 000 rajongói szavazat érkezett be, A jövendő múlt napjai első része a 25. helyet foglalta el minden idők legjobb Marvel történeteinek százas toplistáján.
