In Deutschland wurde vor allem ihr Lied People bekannt, als es in der deutschen TV-Fassung der Animeserie The Vision of Escaflowne anstelle des originalen Titelsongs (Yakusoku wa Iranai) zum Einsatz kam. Ein anderes Lied, Real Fonky Time, wurde ein Teil des Soundtracks des Computerspiels FIFA 2003. Das einzige Album von Dax Riders, das in Deutschland erschienen ist, war Backintown.

En 1998, le duo devint trio lorsque, suite au succès de leurs concerts en commun, Nicolas Berger Vachon (« Erman ») les rejoint, comme chanteur et aux claviers. Le nom Dax Riders provient de la petite moto Honda "Dax" (ST50/ST110) qui, bien que produite dans les années 1970 et 1980, reste très tendance. La pochette de leur deuxième album met d'ailleurs l'engin en scène. Dax Riders est considéré comme appartenant au mouvement "French Touch" même si leur troisième et dernier album, toujours largement teinté d'électro, est encore plus orienté funk et R'n'B que le précédent. L'usage récurrent de la Talkbox est l'une des autres caractéristiques du groupe.
