David Aldus (born 18 September 1941) is an English painter. Much of his greatest work depicts Landscape scenes but he is equally famous for his Maritime scenes having sold one to the President of Malta Dr Ugo Mifsud Bonnici. This painting " A Tribute to the People of Malta " sold for £10,000. This particular painting was the subject of a congratulatory letter from Queen Elizabeth II. Lord Terence, Baron Lewin Admiral of the fleet, also sent a letter complimenting this painting.
