David Lane, also known as Davey Lane (born on January 31st, 1981), is an Australian musician, lead guitarist of You Am I (since 1999), and frontman of The Pictures. He is also a guitarist in Australian supergroup The Wrights, who performed at Waveaid in aid of the Boxing Day Tsunami, presented at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 29th 2005. In 2005 Lane also joined Jimmy Barnes' band, and released The Pictures debut L. P, "Pieces of Eight".

In 2007, he joined Crowded House for their tour in Europe and Australia, temporarily replacing Neil Finn's son Liam on miscellaneous guitar, keyboard and backup vocal duties. Late 2008 saw the release of You Am I's "Dilettantes" and the Pictures' "Kicking Indifference".
