In February 2009 Serotonal signed a record deal with Union Black Records, with the debut album to be released later in 2009. He is very often and incorrectly labelled as the former drummer of the British band Cradle of Filth. He would like it to be known that he did not play on any of their early demos Orgiastic Pleasures Foul and The Black Goddess Rises, and their never-released full length album Goetia. However, Darren did record guest vocals on Cradle of Filth's first full album - mainly the song, 'A Dream of Wolves in the Snow' as well as some other parts.
