Dan's musical career started out in 1997 writing and playing in a lounge room with friends Jason Singh, Tim Wild, Tim Watson in Camberwell, Melbourne. By 1998, they recorded a demo with songs which would be used for their first album by the unnamed band although in later time would name themselves Taxiride.
