- Dai Nagao is a Japanese composer, musician and producer. He was a member and composer of the popular musical group Do As Infinity from its founding until it disbanded in September 2005, although they have since reformed. Though sort of a behind the scenes member of the band later on, he did play live with the band full time when it first started, as an acoustic guitarist until about 2001. Then he would appear occasionally in a few concerts as a special guest, including the final live on November 25, 2005. Nagao is one of the very few Japanese artists that plays a custom double-neck acoustic guitar. His new projects include composing songs for Amasia Landscape, as well as composing for Asian bands and singers such as SE7EN, Sayaka Yamamoto, Mount Position, I-lulu, Voxray, Dazzfeed, Sacra, and Blazespirit. He frequently composes or co-composes songs for Ayumi Hamasaki with his most recent composition being "Ballad", released in December 2009. In 2008 Dai began playing guitar at street venues with violinist ARIA.

Il était un membre et compositeur du groupe Do As Infinity de ses débuts jusqu'à la séparation des trois membres, Ryo Owatari, Tomiko Van et Nagao, en Modèle:Date. Assez discret, il se contentait souvent d'être un membre en coulisse vers la fin de la vie du groupe, en mettant en avant ses deux partenaires. Lors des débuts du groupe en revanche, il jouait tout le temps sur scène, en tant que guitariste acoustique (on le voit notamment dans le clip de Tangerine Dream, un des premiers hits du groupe), jusqu'en 2001 environ. Il apparaît ensuite de façon occasionnelle dans quelques concerts comme invité spécial, notamment lors de la dernière tournée le Modèle:Date. Nagao est l'un des tout premiers artistes japonais à jouer avec une guitare acoustique à double manche personnalisée, comme l'une de ses références musicales, le guitariste Jimmy Page de Led Zeppelin.
