Vuosina 1998–2005 Proteus sai vankan kannattajajoukon ja soitti Suomessa kaikilla merkittävillä klubeilla ja tapahtumissa, joista voidaan mainita muiden muassa Säde, Laserpoint, Rush, Labyrinth, Hallmark, Millennium, Fantasy, Storm, Vertigo, Pacifique, Trancehouse meets Lab-4, Celebration Generation, Reactor, Turbulence ja Koneisto. Proteuksen suurimpia saavutuksia ovat kaksi peräkkäistä "Best Hard Dance DJ" -titteliä vuosilta 2004 ja 2005, joissa ovat olleet äänestämässä klubbaajat ympäri maapallon. Äänestyksissä hän voitti monia nimekkäitä DJ:itä, kuten Lisa Lashesin ja Yoji Biomehanikan. Urallaan Proteus on soittanut muun muassa Suomessa, Isossa-Britanniassa, Hollannissa, Australiassa, Japanissa, Sveitsissä, Saksassa, Ruotsissa, Malesiassa ja Virossa. Proteus kumppaneineen on järjestänyt Säde ja Torture Torstai nimeä kantavia konemusiikkitapahtumia Helsingissä.
