Marianne first entered the electronic music scene in 1992, mixing breakbeat sets in her native Orlando, Florida. During the beginning of her career, she collaborated often with DJ Icey. According to some, Baby Anne's first public appearance took place when DJ Icey was spinning at a private party and allowed Anne on the tables. Her charisma and mixing ability was an immediate hit with the crowd. Soon after, the fledgling DJ began performing under the name DJ Baby Anne and eventually began to produce her own music under the same name. To date, Baby Anne has released 10 mix albums, most notably the Bass Queen in the Mix series. Her newest album GroundnPound was released in July 2008.
