Craig De Sean Adams (born October, 1977), better known by his stage name DJ Assault is a hip hop musician from Detroit, Michigan. Collecting 12" and 45's since age 7, he would go on to be one of the most recognized DJs and producers of Detroit Dance music. Together with producer Mr. De' he started Electrofunk Records and Assault Rifle Records and put out a series of 12" singles and mix CDs from 1996 through 1999.

Er prägte maßgeblich die Stilmerkmale des Ghetto Tech, einer Mischung aus Stilelementen von HipHop, House, Dance/Techno und Electro. Die Urväter der Dance-Musik kritisierten ihn mehrfach dafür, einfach nur die einfachsten und populärsten Stilmittel der Dance-Musik zusammenzubringen. Seine Straight Up Detroit Shit Mix-CDs wurden aufgrund des hohen „Kultfaktors“ re-released, in dieser Reihe lösen sich die gemixten Tracks teilweise im 30-Sekunde-Takt ab, so haben die CDs oft stolze 99 Tracks. DJ Assault legte auf Partys in Deutschland, den Niederlanden, Frankreich, Spanien, Großbritannien, Japan, Australien und in Nordamerika auf. Im Jahr 2000 zerstritt sich das Produzententeam.
