Désiré Girouard (July 7, 1836 – March 22, 1911) was a Canadian lawyer, politician, and Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Born in Saint-Timothée, Lower Canada, the son of Jérémie Girouard and Hyppolite Picard, he received his Bachelor of Common Law from McGill University in 1860. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1860 and practiced law.

- Désiré Girouard (July 7, 1836 – March 22, 1911) was a Canadian lawyer, politician, and Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Born in Saint-Timothée, Lower Canada, the son of Jérémie Girouard and Hyppolite Picard, he received his Bachelor of Common Law from McGill University in 1860. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 1860 and practiced law. In 1872 and 1874 he ran unsuccessfully for the Canadian House of Commons in the riding of Jacques Cartier, Quebec and Beauharnois, Quebec as a Conservative losing both times. He was elected by two votes in the 1878 election in the riding of Jacques Cartier. He was re-elected in 1882, 1887, and 1891. In 1892, he became the first mayor of Dorval, Quebec. In 1895, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada and served until his death in 1911. His son, Sir Édouard Percy Cranwill Girouard, was the governor of the East Africa Protectorate (Kenya).

Durant les élections de 1872 et de 1874, il tenta sans succès de se faire élire dans les circonscriptions de Jacques-Cartier et de Beauharnois. Il parvint à se faire élire député conservateur lors des élections de 1878 dans Jacques-Cartier. Réélu en 1882, 1887 et en 1891, il démissionna en 1895 pour accepter un poste de juge à la Cour suprême, poste qu'il occupa jusqu'à sa mort en 1911. Simultanément à sa fonction de député, il devint le premier maire de la ville de Dorval. De plus, le Girouard Building du Collège militaire royal du Canada, situé à Kingston en Ontario, fut nommé en son honneur. Son fils, Sir Percy Cranwill Girouard, fut gouverneur du protectorat d'Afrique orientale britannique.
