The Very Rev (Cyril) Jonathan Meyrick is the current Dean of Exeter. He was born on St George's Day 1952 and educated at Lancing College and St John’s College, Oxford. Ordained in 1977 his first post was a curacy at Bicester after which he was Chaplain to the Bishop of Oxford, a Tutor at Codrington College (Barbados), Vicar of Taplow, Rural Dean of Chalke Valley and Canon Residentiary at Rochester Cathedral before his elevation to the Deanery. He was installed on 21 May 2005.
