Das Cusco-Quechua sticht innerhalb der Regionalvariante Qusqu-Qullaw nicht stark heraus. Es gibt einige Besonderheiten im Wortschatz, die es von seinen Schwestermundarten abhebt (z. B. unu statt yaku für „Wasser“ oder ukuku statt ukumari für „Bär“) sowie einige wenige in der Grammatik (z. B. die Endung -rqan statt -rqa für die 1. Person der einfachen Vergangenheit).
