A Costs Lawyer must obtain Fellowship status from the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen and successfully complete an advocacy course. The Association of Law Costs Draftsmen was granted Authorised Body Status by The Association of Law Costs Draftsmen Order 2006 (S.I. 2006 no 3333) which came into force on 1st January 2007.
