  • De Congregatie van Maria Onbevlekte Koningin of Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen werd in 1967 in het Rooms-Katholieke bisdom Boise in de Verenigde Staten met goedkeuring van de bisschop opgericht als religieus instituut. Sinds circa 1970 is de congregatie sedevacantistisch. Het doel van de congregatie was het verspreiden van de boodschap van de verschijningen van Onze Lieve Vrouw van Fatima. Verschillende traditionalistische priesters ondersteunden de CMRI bij het opzetten van kapellen en de viering van de Mis volgens de Tridentijnse ritus. Na een controverse rond een ongeoorloofde bisschopswijding van CMRI-oprichter Francis Schuckhardt in de jaren '70 ontstonden er vele schandalen binnen de congregatie. Vanaf 1984 werd orde op zaken gesteld en kwamen een seminarie, zusterklooster en vele kerken en scholen gereed. De congregatie telt nu priesters, één bisschop en enige tientallen kloosterlingen. De congregatie is wereldwijd werkzaam. De centrale vestiging is gelegen op Mount St. Michael - een voormalig Jezuïeten-seminarie - in Spokane, Washington van waaruit overste Mgr.
