Colin Sharp (5 September 1953 - September 2009) was a musician and writer from England, who was part of the Manchester music scene of the late 1970's. He sang for post-punk band The Durutti Column, replacing original vocalist Phil Rainford, for the A Factory Sample EP in 1978, before being replaced by the band's guitarist, Vini Reilly. He was a close friend of legendary producer Martin Hannett, writing a biography of him, called Who Killed Martin Hannett?: The History of Factory Records.

In the 2000's, he worked with american band Vernian Process. He taught drama at Tyne Metrpolitan College until July 2008. Colin Sharp died after a short illness on September 9th 2009.
