Codes are an indie electronic quartet from Dublin, Ireland consisting of Daragh Anderson, Eoin Stephens, Paul Reilly and Raymond Hogge. The band was formed in mid 2007 and within a couple of months had two singles - "Edith" and "This is Goodbye" - enter the Irish Top 40 at #39 and #32 respectively. The single "Guided by Ghosts" was released on 10 October, coinciding with a show in The Button Factory, Dublin.

The single "Guided by Ghosts" was released on 10 October, coinciding with a show in The Button Factory, Dublin. The band began work on their debut album with Manic Street Preachers producer, Greg Haver in Modern World Studios, Cotswolds in late 2008. The album is expected to be released in the mid-end of 2009. Codes partook in the 2008 IMRO Showcase Tour and followed a July 5 date at The Academy with a performance on the IMRO New Sounds Stage at Oxegen 2008. UK dates followed, including a headline show in London’s 229 on July 23 and the Camden Barfly on July 25, 2008. Codes also played support to UK group Keane on the Irish leg of their "Perfect Symmetry" Tour on the 23rd January in Belfast's Odyssey Arena and the 25th January 2009 in the O2 Arena, Dublin. In early May 2009, Codes signed a Major record deal with E.M.I. records. Soon after signing the deal, Codes announced that their winter inspired debut album "Trees Dream In Algebra" will be released in September 2009. The album was recorded in Gloucestershire UK & mixed in Auckland, New Zealand with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manics, SFA) and mastered in NYC by Greg Calbi (U2,Interpol,Kings of Leon). To co-incide with the album release the band have announced a string of dates around Ireland including a special album launch show on the 26th of September 2009 in Dublin's Academy.
