Clearview Cinemas is a chain of movie theatres within the New York Metropolitan area that is owned by Cablevision. Founded in 1986 with the opening of a theater in Tenafly, New Jersey that is still open as of 2009, the chain has grown to more than 154 theaters, some of which have been equipped with digital projection. Its most profitable theater is the Ziegfeld Theatre in midtown Manhattan, which the chain acquired from Cineplex Odeon in the mid-90's.
