Civic Center/UN Plaza Station is a Muni Metro and Bay Area Rapid Transit station near the Civic Center in downtown San Francisco, California. It is along the Market Street Subway below Market Street between Seventh Street and Eighth Street. Like all of the shared BART and Muni stations on the Market Street Subway, the concourse mezzanine is on the first level down, an island platform for the Muni Metro is on the second level down, and the island platform for BART is on the third level down.

Service at this station began on November 3, 1973. In July 2011 a knife wielding transient was shot to death at the station by BART Police. The BART police chief stated lethal force was appropriate but witnesses reported that a taser was availible but not used. This led to a massive demonstration and riot inside and around the station a week later. The protesters were able to sucessfully disrupt the evening commute and the station was closed. A riot occurred on the street level but the San Francisco Police Department simply let the people alone and they trickled home on their own without intervention.
