Christopher William Long, CMG (born in 1938) is a retired British diplomat. He served as the United Kingdom's ambassador to Switzerland (1988–1992), Egypt (1992–1995) and Hungary (1995–1998). He served as director of the Oxford University Foreign Service Programme from 1999 to 2003. He has been sitting on the board of directors of Gedeon Richter Ltd. , the largest pharmaceutical factory in Hungary, since 1998. He is also a trustee of The Orders of St John Care Trust.
