The Christian Democratic Party of Albania is a small Centre-right, Christian democratic, political party in Albania. The PDK's first election was in 1996, where it won no seats in the 140 seat Assembly of Albania (Parliament) but took 1.3% of the popular vote. In the following year, 1997, it won a single Assembly seat while taking 1% of the vote. Four years later, in 2001, the PDK again took 1% of the vote but failed to win an Assembly seat.

An Extraordinary Congress of PDK held in Tirana on 3 June 2006 elected Nard Ndoka as chairman of PDK. On 8 November 2007 the Party experienced a split, with Nikolle Lesi leaving to form a new party, the Albanian Christian Democratic Movement, which he expects to match the PDK's 2005 performance in the next general election.

Erst 2005 gelang es ihr wieder, mit 3,4 % der Stimmen zwei Sitze im albanischen Parlament zu gewinnen, die sie allerdings bei den Parlamentswahlen 2009 mit 0.9 % wieder verlor. Ein außerordentlicher Parteitag in Tirana wählte am 3. Juni 2006 Nard Ndoka zum Vorsitzenden. Im März 2007 bildete die PDK mit der Demokratischen Partei eine Koalition und stellt mit Ndoka den Gesundheitsminister. Im November 2007 spaltete sich die Partei und Nikollë Lesi gründete die "Albanische Christdemokratische Bewegung". 2009 war Nard Ndoka weiterhin Parteivorsitzender.

Mais depuis, le PDK est affaibli par la scission qui, en novembre 2007, a donné lieu à la création du Mouvement chrétien-démocrate d'Albanie.
