Chris West (born 1954) is a British writer. He also writes under his full name, Christopher West. Chris West was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire and at the London School of Economics where he studied economics and philosophy. He also played drums for The Oxcentrics a Dixieland revival band that was active in the 1970s. West travelled in China, leading to his first book, Journey to the Middle Kingdom in 1991.

More recently, West has concentrated on co-authoring books aimed at entrepreneurs and small businesses, the first of which was The Beermat Entrepreneur, co-authored with entrepreneur and speaker Mike Southon, and the most recent of which is Think like an Entrepreneur co-authored with entrepreneur Robbie Steinhouse. As a solo author he has written Marketing on a Beermat. West is married with one daughter and lives near Cambridge.
