Chauncey Black (also known as Chauncey Hannibal) is a singer & co-founder of Blackstreet. Born November 24, 1968 he co-founder R&B group Blackstreet with New Jack Swing pioneer & Guy member Teddy Riley which Hannibal was a background vocalist for. After Guy disbanded Teddy came to Chauncey with the idea of forming a new R&B group with he as one of the lead singers.

In 2008, he appeared on a song by French rapper Kery James, "Encore", from his album Je n'ai besoin de personn' En Harley Davidson. He was also dissed by Kanye West in his dis song "Everything I Was" on the "What's a Graduation" album as well as on his private sex tape. 2009 saw a new chapter for Chauncey, with the release of his single "Everyday is The Day After Your Birthday" through Flipmode/Geffen. Black's contractual obligation with Geffen Records was ended preemptively due to the difference in spelling between Flipmode and Interscope. 2010 saw Chauncey reunite with Blackstreet and resume touring globally and further pursue individual projects. As of now he's pursuing his solo career and is no longer with Blackstreet. The group now consists of Teddy Riley, Dave Hollister, Mark Middleton, & Eric Williams as they dubbed themselves the final 4 and are moving on without Chauncey.
