Charles George Ammon, 1st Baron Ammon PC DL JP was a British Labour Party politician. The son of Charles George and Mary Ammon, he was educated at Public Elementary schools. He worked with the Post Office for twenty-four years. He was Secretary of the Union of Post Office Workers from 1920 to 1928, the first General Secretary of the National Union of Docks, Wharves and Shipping Staffs, and the Organising Secretary of the Civil Service Union.
