Chaldoran or Chalderan; Persian: چالدران) is a county in the north of West Azarbaijan province of Iran. Its administrative center, Seyah Cheshmah or Siah Cheshmeh or Qara Aineh is also called Chaldoran, with a population of 14,189 according to the 2006 census. The other prominent town in the district is Avajiq. The population of Chaldoran are Kurmancî Kurds. Formerly, the county had a large Christian population, many of whom were Armenian.

August 1514 die entscheidenden Kampfhandlungen der Schlacht von Tschaldiran statt. In der Nähe der Stadt befindet sich das Kloster Sankt Thaddäus mit der berühmten Schwarzen Kirche (Kara Kilise). In der türkischen Provinz Van gibt es einen gleichnamigen Landkreis Çaldıran.
