Cess Rock (born Cecil Bain) is the live percussionist, studio MC and additional vocalist for Heavy Metal band Brown Brigade, and also the vocalist for experimental funk/hip hop project The Quits. Rock met Dave Baksh and Vaughn Lal of Brown Brigade when only forming the band for the project, and was asked to join the band, which led him to join the band as the live percussionist, and put his rock/soul/reggae solo project on an indefinite hiatus.

Brown Brigade's debut studio album Into the Mouth of Badd(d)ness was released September 18, 2007 and received mostly positive reviews, although released only in Canada and Japan. Although, mostly seen playing live percussion on congas (additionally to the drums) for Brown Brigade, he is known better for singing and rapping on the tracks "E2 The F (Homeboy)" and "Blues Warrior" on Brown Brigade's debut album, as well as the song "Wake Up", a Rage Against The Machine cover that Brown Brigade play live a lot. Most recently, Rock also sang on some other Rage Against The Machine covers that Brown Brigade performed, including "Know Your Enemy" and "Bulls On Parade". Additionally to Brown Brigade, Rock also performs as lead vocalist in the Funk/Hip hop band The Quits.
