The Caucasus Front was a major unit of the Imperial Russian Army during the First World War. It was established in April, 1917 by reorganisation of Russian Caucasus Army. The Russian military history consider Caucasus Campaign and Persian Campaign as a separate theater of the Great War, which both these Campaign were under the control of first Illarion Vorontsov-Dashkov and then Nikolai Yudenich.

This perspective is also conserved for the Ottoman military activities. The 3 Army engaged mainly with the Caucasus Campaign and 2 Army on the Persian Campaign.
