The first album Sleeping Giants was engineered by Justin Gutierrez, who plays in the bands Auditory Aphasia & Mythmaker. Nathan & Phil produced the record themselves at their house in Corona, CA which was transformed into the headquarters for Justin's Solunaris Studios and Phil's record label, Longhair Illuminati. Written in a matter of months by Nathan Lindeman on guitars, programming, and a little bass. Phil Pirrone who played a lot of bass and sang, and played a little guitar. And Ryan Knights on drums, percussion and programming in a track he wrote, entitled Forked Tongues. The record was released on October 31, 2006 on Longhair Illuminati Recordings. The live band lineup rotates from time to time and has included members of Auditory Aphasia & Mythmaker. At one point or another the following people all played with and traveled with Casket Salesmen... Nathan Lindeman - Guitar, Good Driving, Tetris like trailer packing skills Phil Pirrone - Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Booking, The guy who makes sure we get the pizza Ryan Knights - Drums, Sleeping Late, Not Wanting to Load but does, Drinking and eating everything, being soggy David Fujinami - Bass, Guitar, Cheese, Bread, Bacon only diet JJ Gumiran - Guitar, Keys, Bass Anthony Alagna - Keys, Percussion, Programming Christopher Walvoord - Drums in Visalia @ Howie & Sons w/ So Many Dynamos Justin Gutierrez - Bass, Engineer, Studio, Hockey, Majic, Papa Smoke Nicole Verhamme - Bass, Guitar, Vocals The band played over 200 shows and shared the stage with bands like RX Bandits, The Lemonheads, Dredg, No Age, Earthless, Jubilee, The Germs, Apex Theory, Von Bondies, Grand Ole Party, Against Me!, Circa Survive, New Model Army, & more between 2005 and 2008. Currently (Summer 2009), Casket Salesmen is working on brand new material after nearly a year in hibernation. During that hibernation, Phil started a new band called Välmart with some different musicians, old friends Ben Newsham and Nico Sy, and the three are currently working on a group of songs to play out live this fall and to release on a number of seven inch vinyl records.
