Carroll Nye (4 October 1901 – 17 March 1974) was an American film actor. He appeared in 58 films between 1925 and 1944. He was born in Akron, Ohio and died in Hollywood, California from a heart attack and kidney failure. He was married to actress Helen Lynch. He is buried in Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills Cemetery.

- Robert Carroll Nye war ein US-amerikanischer Filmschauspieler. Nyes Mutter Myra arbeitete für die Los Angeles Times, bei der Carroll Nye auch zeitweilig beschäftigt war. Carroll erhielt eine Ausbildung an der University of California. Seinen frühesten Filmauftritt hatte er wohl 1925 in Three Wise Crooks. In den 1920er und 1930er Jahren hatte Nye zahlreiche Filmrollen; die bekannteste ist der Frank Kennedy in Gone with the Wind im Jahr 1939. Nach diesem Film spielte er nur noch in wenigen weiteren Filmen mit; seine letzte Rolle hatte er vermutlich 1944 als Reporter in Wilson. In seiner Zeit bei CBS arbeitete Carroll Nye mit Groucho Marx zusammen. Carroll Nye war zweimal verheiratet, einmal mit einer Frau namens Dorothy, einmal mit der Schauspielerin Helen Lynch. Dorothy wird auf seinem Grabstein im Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, erwähnt. Er war der Großonkel von Peter Nye.
