Carlos Holguín Mallarin was a Colombian lawyer, journalist and statesman who was elected became Acting President of Colombia between 1888 to 1892 following the absence of President Rafael Núñez. He also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Magistrate of the Supreme Court of Colombia. Carlos Holguín Mallarin was part of the prominent Mallarino Family.
