Campoo is a comarca of Cantabria located in the High Ebro, with a surface little bigger than 1,000 km², and including the municipalities of Hermandad de Campoo de Suso, Campoo de Enmedio, Campoo de Yuso, Valdeolea, Valdeprado del Río, Valderredible, Reinosa, Las Rozas de Valdearroyo, Santiurde de Reinosa, Pesquera, and San Miguel de Aguayo. Their inhabitants are called Campurrians (Campurrianos, in Spanish).

- Campoo bezeichnet eine Comarca (Landkreis) im Süden der spanischen Region Kantabrien, deren Verwaltung sich in der Stadt Reinosa befindet. Der Name steht zugleich für eine Landschaft, deren Ausdehnung über die Grenzen des Landkreises hinaus geht und bis in das Land Kastilien-Leon hineinreichen. Landschaftlich handelt es sich um eine von Bergen umgebene Hochebene, wobei die westliche Gebirgsregion wiederum als Alto Campoo (hoher Campoo) bezeichnet wird. In dieser Region entspringt der Fluss Ebro, der wenige Kilometer nach seiner Quelle durch einen der drei Stauseen in seinem Verlauf fließt. Siedlungen befinden sich hauptsächlich um die der Stromerzeugung dienenden Stauseen und die Stadt Reinosa. Weite Teile der Landschaft sind unbewohnt und gelten als Biosphärenreservat, wobei sich in einem Teil des Gebirges ein Skigebiet befindet. Die Region ist ein Rückzugsgebiet von seltenen Tierarten und ca. 25 Braunbären.

Su cota más elevada está en el pico Cuchillón, y la más baja en Pesquera, estando Reinosa a 850 msnm. Originariamente, según se recoge en el Libro de las Merindades de Castilla o Becerro de las Behetrías de Castilla, la Merindad de Aguilar de Campoo comprendía tanto municipios del sur de la actual Cantabria, como del norte de la provincia de Palencia y de la de Burgos, siendo su capital la hoy palentina Aguilar de Campoo, antigua cabeza del vasto Marquesado de Aguilar de Campoo. Posteriormente, la capitalidad se trasladó a Reinosa, ciudad que sigue ostentando esta condición. El Campoo palentino, quedó tras la división provincial, con Aguilar como población más importante, y englobado actualmente en la amplia comarca de la Montaña Palentina. A pesar de que ya existe una ley de comarcalización de Cantabria, esta todavía no ha sido desarrollada por lo tanto la comarca no tiene entidad real.

Its highest elevation is the Cuchillón peak (2,225 m above sea level), and the lowest is Pesquera (560 m), with the capital, Reinosa at 850 m. Originally, as it is gathered in the Book of Merindades of Castile (from circa 1352), the Merindad of Aguilar de Campoo comprised municipalities of the south of present Cantabria, as well as of northern Province of Palencia and Burgos, with its capital being the Palentine Aguilar de Campoo, ancient capital also of the vast Marquesse of Aguilar de Campoo. Later the capital was moved to Reinosa, which still has this status. The "Palentine Campoo" was left, after the provincial division, with Aguilar as the most important township, and included nowadays into the large comarca of Palentine Mountains.
